The Governors at Stoke Heath are excited to offer the post of Teaching Assistant to a forward-thinking, innovative individual with a passion for education.  The post offers the right candidate the opportunity to strengthen the quality of our provision, while making a difference to life chances of our children. 

As a Teaching Assistant you will work alongside a dedicated and experienced team to continue to drive standards forward through strong teaching and learning and support.

This role is 37 hours per week, 38 weeks term time only plus 5 teacher training days per year

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a warm and friendly Teaching Assistant to support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education by providing care and supervision to children/young people, including those who have special physical, emotional and educational needs.

  • A highly effective Teaching Assistant;
  • Someone who is a team player;
  • A Teaching Assistant with knowledge across the primary phase;
  • Someone with an inclusive ethos with children at the centre of your thinking;
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills that motivate, lead, support and challenge; and
  • Someone who is committed to the safeguarding of children.
