Frederick Bird is a large 3/4 form entry, spacious, well-resourced Primary school serving the Hillfields community of Coventry. Our committed staff team are always looking to do more to genuinely promote the life chances of our children.
We are currently in the process of joining Inspire Education Trust who have been supporting us with school improvement from the wider Teaching & Learning team since November 2022. We are very excited about this new partnership and can already see the difference working alongside the Inspire team.
With our Ofsted inspection being very recent and the fact we are moving into a Trust, we now have at least 3 years to continue to develop to secure at least ‘Good’ at our next inspection.
We are looking to appoint a hard-working, flexible, enthusiastic and committed member of staff to join our Premises Team as an Assistant Site Services Officer.
Candidates will work as part of a busy and friendly team in keeping this large school well maintained, clean, safe and fit for purpose.
Who are we looking for?
Suitable candidates would be required to have general maintenance skills to support with a variety of needs on a school site. Equally as important will be the willingness and flexible approach in supporting the school’s needs as they arise.
This may on occasions include covering for the Site Services Manager with activities/events/meetings that take place in school on an evening or on a weekend.
Under the direction of the Site Services Manager, the role will be varied depending on the needs of the school and its 800 children and large staff.
Candidates are encouraged to visit to the school to gain more understanding of the role, site and community we serve. Further information and site visits can be organised by contacting Mr John Halford, Site Services Manager on 024 7622 1920.
