What is the job role?

We are seeking two experienced Social Workers. One to join our specialist Child Exploitation team - the Horizon team on a full time permanent basis and one to join our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team on a full time fixed term basis for 12 months.

Horizon is a multi-agency team which provides support to children and young people who are at risk of or experiencing exploitation. Social Workers within the team have a protected case load to ensure interventions are provided to young people to reduce risk and develop robust safety planning.

The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) brings key professionals together to facilitate quality information sharing, analysis and decision-making, to safeguard vulnerable children, young people more effectively. Staff from across health, children’s services, police, and education are based in the MASH at any one time at its based in Broadgate House in the city centre.

Our MASH is the front door to statutory services, by applying consistent thresholds based on Right Help, Right Time.

The children and young people we work with come from a variety of backgrounds and in order to deliver the best possible care it is vital that we have a workforce that represents and understands their unique experiences and perspectives.

These post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates with a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW), Social Work England registration and individuals who are dedicated professionals with a passion for working with children & families.
