About the team we are recruiting to

Coventry City Council has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Electoral Services Team as an Electoral Services Support Officer to come on board and develop into a valuable and dynamic member of its team. You will join a small team who are responsible for compiling the electoral register and running the local and national elections and referenda in the City.  You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills, and get involved in projects such as implementing boundary reviews and responding to new legislative proposals such as voter ID and votes for life.

What is the job role?

You will have good attention to detail, and ideally with experience of working within an administrative role, having an awareness of administrative procedures.  You will be able to work to tight deadlines, manage changing and conflicting demands whilst producing accurate work.  You will be required to work some unsociable hours during busy periods.

We’d like to offer the best service we can and would like to hear from people who can help us do so. It would also be beneficial if you have IT skills (knowledge of Microsoft Office) and people skills, like listening and communicating.
