What is the job role?
John Gulson Primary School is embarking upon an exciting journey of swift improvement and we are now looking to recruit an experienced Site Service Manager to join our team! We are looking for someone to commit to developing and maintaining the school site, providing a safe and stimulating learning environment for our wonderful school community.
The successful candidate will:
Be responsible to the Head teacher (HT) and the School Business Manager (SBM), as an effective member of the school’s team.
Share in Health and Safety inspections of the school site with the SBM and HT.
Be responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, accessible and secure environment for all activities.
Undertake work, as the nominated officer, including cleaning duties; opening/locking up the school site; ensuring the site is fully secure at all times; completing remedial works to the site (e.g. minor plumbing, carpentry work); ensuring the school is compliant with Health and Safety requirements (e.g. maintaining asbestos log) and being responsible for contractors working on our school site.

Work Pattern
37 hours per week. Year round, with split shift (to allow for locking and unlocking)
