What is the job role?

This is an exciting time for Adult Social Care and we are recruiting for an OT Service Manager to lead and contribute to the overall development of our service provision.

This role will be a fantastic opportunity for you to enhance and build on your excellent leadership and operational skills as well as reshape and develop the service.

This is a unique role where you will be the key specialist as the OT lead across Adult Services.

This includes management of our core Occupational Therapy team (interventions such as reablement, equipment, minor works, and major adaptations funded through DFG), Visual and Hearing Impairment Team, Adaptations Team (administering DFG’s),  Blue Badge mobility assessments, and our internally provided Community Equipment Service (delivering Assistive Technology, Telecare, and Minor works).   

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

 

Who are we looking for?

If you are an efficient and effective leader and can manage services and adhere to appropriate legislation and government guidance, we need you.

You will ensure services meet relevant quality standards with your responsive, personalised and outcome-focused approach promoting independence, and enhancing choice and control for people with care and support needs, and carers.

If you have comprehensive knowledge of health and social care services, the National Government agenda, and emerging priorities for the NHS and Social Care then this is the role for you.

Experience in managing large operational services with health or social care services, experience of managing complex budgets and of maintaining services while adhering to tight financial targets - is key.

Being able to adaptable to change, committed to delivering personalised outcomes, and has experience in multi/cross-agency working at management level to aid successful delivery in this role.

You will have a professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the relevant professional body as well as evidence of personal development and commitment to learning.
