Come and join us at an exciting time and be part of the Professional Support Service’s journey – a service area integral to working with colleagues at all levels across Children’s Services, to contribute to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable Children and Families across the City. 

The role

This is a 12 month fixed term contract in a diverse and varied role providing professional support to Fostering, Commissioning and Placements. You will work as part of a team and your duties will include supporting social workers and team managers on a day to day basis. 

Duties will include finance work, dealing with queries over the telephone, via email and in person, producing statistical information, completing checks and references for prospective foster carers, organising medical checks and other tasks as appropriate.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
